Living a Balanced Life: CulverCareers’ Commitment to Balance

CulverCareers is a San Diego-based executive search firm. CulverCareers is committed to what they call an I.C.E.B.L.U.E. culture.  A key component of this culture is balance.

Balance is an important part of CulverCareers’ mission as an executive search firm, but they also promote that same balance for their staff, clients, and employed talent. Living a balanced life is important in the attempt to live your most productive life. CulverCareers wants those it is involved with to be the most productive and well-rounded individuals that they can be. Working is a productive, and for most, essential part of life; however, there are skills and talents to be gained and developed outside of the workplace as well.

Parents, for instance, will always tell you how much they have learned and continue to learn from their role in a child’s life. Among some of the workplace applicable skills that parents learn from their children are patience, leadership, management, and the ability to adapt quickly to new situations. Culver Careers is committed to offering their clients the best candidates that they can, and one way to do this is to ensure that their candidates are as well-rounded as possible.

The world teaches us that balance is important at an early age; however, many people forget to continue leading a balanced life once they reach adulthood. When young people are headed to college, they are often asked what types of extracurricular activities they’ve been involved in growing up and in high school. Colleges look for students who’ve played instruments, played sports, and been in clubs when they are looking to accept students for admission.

People need to remember that being well-rounded in this way should continue to be a part of their lives, even after they’ve passed that particular phase of life. That is why CulverCareers is sure to make it a priority of their culture.
